Jamie Swift is a writer and journalist living in Kingston, Ontario. He’s the author, most recently, of Hydro: The Decline and Fall of Ontario’s Electric Empire and Perpetuating Poverty: Dispatches from the Margins. A founder of Between The Lines publishers (Toronto) and a longtime contributor to CBC-Radio’s Ideas, he’s also a community activist involved in a handful of local organizations in Kingston. 

Jamie felt that mainstream media did not afford enough opportunities for him to air his views. Room for Rant in Kingston provides the opportunity to share his unfettered thoughts with the wider community.
